Indian Bankers to Get Salary Increase By 2017 - Wage Revision

Indian Bankers
If we believe to the news and sources, The salary of Indian bankers to increased by 2017 (as government of india has issued notification about the same). Even as we all know that 7th Pay Commission is all set to implemented and with that the difference between government employee salary and bankers will be even deeper.

To close this gap, Government of india is all set to increase the salary of bankers by next year. Recently, when LIC (life insurance corporation of india) has announced recruitment of 700 AAO officer, the much talked topic in bankers association was the salary.

The Class A city of LIC AAO will get around Rs.40000/- per month (on hand salary) as per the official pay scale, while the Normal PO/Clerk gets just Rs.28-30k per month. The difference is quite high and IBA was working on this. The salary talks are started even after in May 2015 when Govt of india increased salary of bankers and issued notification for 2nd and 4th Saturday as holiday for Indian bankers.

May 2015’s 15% increase in salary was part of salary settlement of 10th Bipartite for which talks were started in 2012. So, after 3 years of talks (mean while we got new government in 2014) it was signed on mid 2015. The new salary structure will be implemented from 1st November, 2017.

All this news about increase of banker’s salary were started after Financial ministry issued notification for “Next wage revision in public sector banks” on 12th January, 2016. Here is the official link about this http://financialservices.gov.in/download.asp?rec=361&NotificationType=C
