2.2 lakh New Government Jobs by Central Government

Narendra Modi Government to add 2.2 new government jobs in next two years. As per the report from PTI, new government to increase more jobs in Railways and income tax and customs and excise department of india under central government. New government who took charge from 16th May, 2014, has given slogan of “minimum government maximum governance” for which more staff will be recruited to provide maximum governance.

Total Staff of Central Government

Right now, year wise within last two year (since after new government took charge) they have certainly increased central government staff nearly 2 lakh. Yes, in 2015 total staff of central government was 33.05 lakh which is 34.93 lakh in 2016 (march) and in next year, by march, 2017, Modi government to increase central government staff by 35.23 lakh.

Which department is highest employer in current central government?

Currently, biggest recruitment is done in revenue department (with whooping 70,000 new jobs) after IT department; central paramilitary force has recruited new47000 jobs in last one year. cabinet secretariat department which is back bone of government is going to recruit 2200 staff  more which is currently having 300 persons staff.
  • Personnel ministry :- 1800 jobs
  • Urban development Industry :- 6000 jobs
  • Mines ministry :- 4399 jobs
  • Space Department :- 1000 jobs
The major recruitment of officers will be from Grade B and Grade C categories for all above departments. As per the personal secretary of government, more than 6 lakh posts are vacant in government right now, out of which 2.2 lakh government jobs to be filled in next two year.
