Eligibility Criteria of SBI PO 2016

Education qualification :- As per the official document, candidates who has cleared Graduation degree (in any discipline) from recognized university (university which are listed by UGC) or any other equivalent (10+2+3) qualification from central government can apply for SBI PO 2016.  

Age limit: - As per the SBI official document, candidates who have age not below 21 years and not above 30 years ( as on 1st April, 2016) can apply. It means if you born between 2nd April, 1986 to 1st April, 1995 (including both days) you can apply for SBI PO 2016.  

Age Relaxation: - As per the government rules, relaxation to reserved category for upper age will be given as per below;

Other backward class (non-creamy layer) 3 years
Schedule caste/Schedule tribe 5 years
Persons With Disabilities (PWD) OBC (13 years),General(10 years), SC/ST(15 years)
Ex-servicemen 5 years
Jammu and Kashmir migrants 5 years

Can Final year / final semester of graduation can apply for SBI PO 2016?

Yes, you can apply for SBI PO 2016 exam but on Interview (which are schedule after 31st August, 2016) you need show proof that you PASSED graduation exam. Either your degree certificate or provisional certificate.

If you are sure that your final year/semester exam result will be released before 31st August, 2016, you can apply for SBI PO.

Candidates who are perusing Chartered Accountant Exam can apply for SBI PO?

Yes, Candidates possessing qualification of Chartered Accountant are also eligible for SBI PO exam.

How the date of passing will be considered?

Date of passing will be date which mentioned on the mark sheet by university/institute. In case of provisional certificate, date of result announced on university website will be considered as date of passing.

How to mention CGPA/OGPA in online education qualification?

In online application form, candidates need to mention their percentage in percentage column, if you have awarded with CGPA than convert your CGPA in percentage and you need to mention that percentage.

Is there any minimum percentage required in graduation for SBI PO?

No, there is no mention of minimum percentage. Candidates, who cleared Graduation with any percentage, can apply for SBI PO.

I born on 1st April, 1995 can i apply for SBI PO?

Yes, candidates who born between 2nd April, 1986 to 1st April, 1995 can apply. Here note that 2nd April, 1986 and 1st April, 1995 are also included.

Can loan defaulter apply for SBI PO?

NO, candidates with record of default in repayment of loans/ credit card dues and/ or against whose name adverse report of CIBIL or other external agencies are available are not eligible to apply for the post.
